I did remember I was helped but the email has been culled so can't thank the person that helped. The list has archives; see the link (at the bottom of every mail in the list): http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer so (knowing when you last asked) it's dead easy to find http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/get_iplayer/2021-December/012083.html Searching the archives looks trickier though - google is aware of some posts, but maybe not all - I don't know why. In the event, slow memory was refreshed and the problem solved. It would be better if you said how you solved it. That might help other people - if not you - in future. -- Jeremy Nicoll - my opinions are my own ___ get_iplayer mailing list get_iplayer@lists.infradead.org http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer

You asked the same question about 3.28 on 9 Dec 2021. Someone gave you some advice; maybe it helped? I'm running v3.28 on W11 with no problems (and 3.29 on W11 on another computer). When I double-click on the setup file obtained from github via square penguin's installer link, the cursor hourglass runs for a couple of seconds then nothing happens. Did you check that the installer you downloaded is complete (which you'd do by checking it has the expected size - which the download page only lists approximately) and hash (which is described in an adjacent file)? If those are ok, I'd be looking - in event logs probably - for signs that the installer .exe began to run and then had some sort of error. -- Jeremy Nicoll - my opinions are my own ___ get_iplayer mailing list get_iplayer@lists.infradead.org http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer
