Thanks. I like "the abstraction at packet level is shared memory." 
I spent a bit too long with Plan 9, where the abstraction for just-about 
everything is a pipe, usually carrying plain text. I learned that a single 
abstraction can be great, but packing and unpacking plain text 
(without metadata) made me miserable. Maybe I should have written 
more C and less shell script, but...  I'm having much more fun with 
Forth than I ever had with C; should have taken it up long ago.
