KGIcon and acceleration

Was there ever an agree ment on how to implement acceleration in the KGIcon drivers? I see the virge driver uses an ioctl approach, but I don't know how to actually access fcuntions coded in this way, is there a place for me to find out or someone willing to give a quick rundown? I also spot
