        While there is a substantial overlap between the functionality of
/dev/gfx and KGI, there are also important differences that IMHO make both
projects worth pursuing separately (hopefully also while sharing as much
code and ideas as reasonably possible):

1: KGI is explicitly cross-platform, while /dev/gfx is Linux-specific.

2: KGI abstracts display modes, while /dev/gfx more or less just
virtualizes the video hardware.

3: KGI has UDI metalanguage stuff build in, while /dev/gfx doesn't yet
seem to define any particular driver "style".

4: KGI is almost done, while /dev/gfx is still in the planning stages.
