first of all I want to thank you for your brilliant work on the new GIMP
2.10. It has become a very nice replacement for 2.8 wich I really loved.
Now I come to my questions:
I'm using Xubuntu 18.04 LTS and unfortunately GIMP 2.10 didn't make it
into the repositorey my
GIMP is better than Photoshop for my purposes. No, it's not trying to copy
(which I think is the actual problem most people have with GIMP), and
therefore does some things differently as a result, and the tools are not a
one-to-one match (thankfully).
It's also free, completely cross-platform, and

Ardour (and one or two its dead forks), Ecasound, Protux/Traverso.
