I haven't a clue if the GIMP devs are paid for doing it or if it's just
something they do but, regardless, it's a fabulous piece of software
that merits thanks, not b1tching. If you don't like it, downgrade to
photoshop.

Yes, that's it. Some cool stuff on it, especially the "Future" section,
but it's not clear what's most important to you right now.

Works properly under gimp 2.9.3 commit 2213f29, though, oddly, when I
exported it to /tmp/ it was 13 bytes shorter than the original; if I
export it replacing the original, the size is retained. I don't know if
that's expectable gimp/png behaviour or not.

You want to quickly apply the last Preset, and sure enough, hitting the
Enter/Return key after the dialog opens jumps to
depth-of-field, use polarising filters to
kill glare, and so on.
And /then/ use gimp for post-process!
And +1 on Vuescan.

I'm writing an app that could benefit from gimp-style docking. Looking
at GTK documentation and the gimp code, it looks like the docking
capability is part of gimp and not something done by GTK widgets. Is
that right?
