I'm working on an interactive image cutout plug in.
After the first cutout the boundaries should be adjusted by the user.
For this purpose an editable polygon roughly outlines the boundaries.
The user then may modify the polygon by moving the vertices or by
introducing new vertices. Two

does there exist a mask to selection function that can be called from
within a plug-in?
Have I missed it in gimp api?
