There is just no infrastructure for these kind of plug-ins/extensions. We plan to have it at some point in time but so far no work is being done to make this happen. another idea brush-plugins - the brush stroke is continuously poured into the plugin as input, and it modifies the layer/drawable continuously. Calligraphic brushes, d ifferent styles of gradient brushes, color replacement brushes, alpha brushes, e rasers, etc. can be implemented via this technique.
