[Gimp-developer] GIMP GAP question

2009-06-27 Thread Mirai Warren
How can I get the layer id of the current layer to use in a GAP layer
operation? Is there already a way to get it in GAP code?

Whenever specifying layers in GAP dialogs, the layers are described by
their stack positions -- by default: 0=topmost, 1=second from top, etc
(there is usually an option to reverse the numbering so that
0=background, 1=second from bottom, etc). These stack positions will
be converted to appropriate layerIDs when PDB or libgimp functions are
called.

If this is not sufficient for what you are attempting, perhaps you
could elaborate on your goals.

Re: [Gimp-developer] GIMP GAP question

2009-06-27 Thread Mirai Warren
What I want to do is similar to the Duplicate Continue plugin, but
instead of duplicating the entire frame, only the current layer would
be duplicated and added to the layer stack of the following frame, and
a new frame would not be created. What I tried was to switch out
gap_lib_image_file_copy with gap_layer_copy_to_image but I don't know
how to get the current layer as the source layer.
I hope that's clear, and thank you for your response.

[Gimp-developer] gimp-gap 2.6 ahead

2009-05-26 Thread wolfgang hofer
for your information: We have created a gap-2-6 branch and intend to do
a 2.6.0 release of the GIMP Animation package in about a week.
It will contain improvements in storyboard editing and processing
and video encoding that now was updated to use ffmpeg0.5 as main
engine for encoding and decoding vedeofiles.
Lots of fixes have been done to make GAP work better with
the GIMP 2.6 release.

Developers and users, please give the gap-2-6 branch some testing and
make sure that any problems are reported at bugzilla.gnome.org for the
gimp-gap product.

Translators, please update the information on l10n.gnome.org and help us
to ship gimp-gap 2.6.0 with lots of uptodate translations.

Thanks a lot for your attention.

[Gimp-developer] gimp-gap 2.4 ahead

2008-01-14 Thread Sven Neumann
Hi,

for your information: We have created a gap-2-4 branch and intend to do
a 2.4.0 release of the GIMP Animation package in about a week. This
branch was created from the 2.2 branch, so it provides basically the
same functionality as the GAP 2.2.2 release. It will however depend on
GIMP 2.4 and lots of fixes have been done to make GAP work better with
the GIMP 2.4 release.

Developers and users, please give the gap-2-4 branch some testing and
make sure that any problems are reported at bugzilla.gnome.org for the
gimp-gap product.

Translators, please update the information on l10n.gnome.org and help us
to ship gimp-gap 2.4.0 with lots of uptodate translations.

Thanks a lot for your attention.

[Gimp-developer] gimp GAP

2004-09-21 Thread Carol Spears
with a little bit of help, i managed to build gimp-gap from cvs.

it needs ffmpeg-0.4.8.tar.gz available from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=16082 and this
needs to be configured --enable-shared

anyways, thought i would share this. rumor has it the cvs version is
much much better than the tarball.
