Newbie: LIBGD or GIMP?

2000-09-08 Thread eanweb

Hello All,
i am new to image generation and am facing a hard task to evaluate
the two tools LIBGD and GIMP.

1. One of the major requirements the solution should run as batch
process on AIX.

2. It should be able to create images from text in Helvetica Neue
font.

Can somone give me an insight if both tools will be able to
accomplish the task

I appreciate any pointers immensely
James S.
