Thanks Dave, As is always the case... It was in there... I didn't know where to look. I hope a future version of the Gimp adds a selector simmilar to how ImageReady does it. It would be nice to retain the "Matte" color seperate from the FG and BG colors. This would speed things up when doing stuff like adding text layers. (when a "Matte" color has been chosen new text layers show up simiflattened automaticly.) Might be able to sneak it in beside or under the "keep trans" checkbox or possibly somewhere on the toolbox.
