[Gimp-user] Can a default cursor be changed?

I would like to use a 'Paths' cursor that offers more precision. I currently use GIMP 2.4.7 + Windows Vista on a PC. Can the default cursor for Paths be changed to something more precise? Crosshairs, fine pointer or something similar to what is found in Photoshop would be ideal. Thank you very
