im using GIMP 2.6.7 on Xubuntu 9.10.
im trying to print a graphic designed at 300 dpi on an A4 sheet. but on
printing the dpi is increasing 332 dpi and reducing the size of the artwork,

Among the major Linux distros available on Live CD, where can I find
the latest stable version of GIMP pre-installed? I have already tried
the most recent releases of both Ubuntu and Fedora, but to my great
surprise neither of them has got GIMP pre-installed.

I am not completely sure but I think Ubuntu studio might have it.
I use Ultimate edition 2.7 which comes with gimp 2.6.8 but was easily updated
to 2.6.10 through my update manager.
