[Gimp-user] A new layer enforced for each text object?

Hi all, I read something in the documentation that says that each text (box?) is automatically placed in a new layer. And that's also what seems to happen in practice. Doesn't sound so great to me. I like being able to have multiple objects in a single layer. So I can show/hide a whole lot of

Just a guess: Did you install GTK+ manually? That shouldn't be necessary any more with GIMP 2.6.x, but old GTK+ installations might mix badly with the one provided with the GIMP installer. Daniel signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
