Many thanks! Your advice was VERY helpful and saved many hours of head
banging on the wall.
After some more edits, I've got my script working perfectly. My only
remaining question now is if there is a way to disable the Gimp Output
cmd window that appears in Windows XP when running in batch mode.
Hi Everyone !
It has been a long time since my latest post concerning the G'MIC project, so
I would like here to give some informations on the advances of this project. I
don't want to bother you with technical details, I just would like to show an
overall view of the improvements.

By default, GIMP offers Documents in addition to normal bookmarks when you

ImageMagick's edge detection sucks compared to Gimps defaults with
Sobel. Also it would be nice to not have it write the file at every

I have the previous release installed on a W7 64 with GIMP 2.6.7
and it runs well. Had some head scratching moments trying to figure
out where to install everything.
I've used the previous release for denoise and it seems to do a good

Am I imagining that? Or
Just use the GIMP Animation Package (GAP); it is particular well
suited for processing video frames.
mplayer test.mkv -vo png
Run gimp
Open the first frame 01.png
Perform Video-Frames Modify and select the Apply Filter on Layer(s)
function and click on OK. Choose the plug-in-sobel filter,

Now I need to know the best way to do the other steps on all frames
like the sobel filter. Since when I just do something like colours
desaturate and colours invert it only does one frame, and I could
not find them anywhere under the new video

OK, I'll try this. I'll find a font that included the code chart to have a go

What went wrong with the below photo when I tried to increase the brightness
on the the darkest portions of the below photo? And what is a good way to
selectively lighten the dark shadow areas of a photo?
What I did
