[Gimp-user] Biggest Frustration
My biggest frustration with GIMP is the complete lack of a general object selection tool. May I offer a respectful and kind suggestion to all? When replying to a message, please cut as much of the original message is not relevant to your reply. This is especially true when saying thank you - so readers don't have to page down through several messages just to see a very brief message. Interweb Listequette suggest that quoted material shoule be no more than 20% of the new material. Like all rules there will be many good reasons for exceptions, but you get the idea. The page at http://www.gimp.org/windows/ says It is highly recommended that you install the help files (GIMP User Manual) that are provided as a separate package (see above). The documentation is also available online, but it doesn't provide a link to whatever one needs to download to obtain the help files or any instructions on how to do so, and the info at http://www.gimp.org/docs/ isn't helpful either. That second page does say GIMP comes with a built-in help system, but this seems to be inconsident with the need to install help pages.
