OK ! i have downloaded, compiled installed 0.94. It will run stand
alone, but not as a plugin.
xsane-gimp doesn't exist anymore, not even in /usr/local/bin the ?
new?
default dir.
If you have xsane installed in /usr prefix you shoud have a /usr/bin/
xsane executable for it (which xsane will tell you where it is
located).

Go to your .gimp-2.0/plug-ins directory (in your home directory) and
add a symlink to the xsane binary :
cd .gnome(2.0/plug-ins
ln s /usr/bin/xsane

This will give the following symlink:
xsane - /usr/bin/xsane
For a general usage on your machine you can make the symlink in
/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins

You have to use the latest version of xsane.
 0.94 is the latest one.

2004-06-30 Thread Laurence Orchard
Hi

I have installed Gimp 2 onto my FC1 system along side a 1.2 1.3.
The I have a USB HP OfficeJet 6110 that has a built in scanner. This
scanner is found and recognised by version 1.2, but not by version 1.3
or Gimp 2.

Question: How do I get Gimp 2 to see it?

Laurence
