I have a (hardware/signal 11) problem with compiling gimp on my local
system. So I tried to compile it on a foreign machine and copied the
whole folder with the binaries to my local system. Then I typed "make
install" as root and hoped that everything would be ok.

Running the Gimp 1.0.4 on RedHat 6.1 here and having a bit of a problem
with the PNG file format. I've got a couple of GIF images with
transparency that I'm trying to convert to PNG format (I know, I know,
some browsers have problems with this) but nonetheless, if I try to save
a file with alpha
I've been trying to use the transform tools on some
graphics, but everytime I do, gimp freezes. I'm
running under Linux Mandrake. No other programs are
effectes. Any ideas on how to make this problem go
away?
