I've just upgraded from 1.1.24 to 1.1.25. Everything compiled well, but now I
can't scan directly into Gimp anymore. If I link xscanimage to my
.gimp-1.1/plug-ins directory, the Gimp freezes while checking the plug-ins on
start up. No error messages, no nothing, just freezes. This is wierd,
It's a simple question but I can't find any doc on it anywhere - how
do I interact with a script-fu-server?

hmmm, nothing like computer jargon to overload terms, 'ping' has been a
unix utility for as long as I can remember.
