I'm a noob here so go easy on me. I have scanned hundreds of old family
pictures which vary from 3-4 images on each scan. I was hoping to save time
and money by learning how to batch crop them, however for some reason GIMP
isn't managing it.

folders is not present.
Then uninstalled 2.10 and installed again 2.8.22 and everything was fine.

i had the same issue, but after installing "xsane-gimp" on my OS (Manjaro Linux)
the issue was solved.
If you use a Linux OS then this might help you as well!
