How can I do it?
I have Ubuntu Linux 18.04 amd64 and already have gimp compiled from the
2.10 branch...

Hello. I created files in Microsoft Word, then loaded them up to GIMP to
get a 300 print size resolution. It seems to hold for most, but when I
did spot checking some of the files I had changed to 300, changed back to
119 when I put them back in GIMP. Why is this?

I'm not the one choosing the operating system, it's a work computer which
has to run Windows 10. Amongst other reasons, the software we use for all
our design work is Creo, which is windows only.

There is no real “company” developing GIMP but referencing it as The GIMP
Development Team should suffice. As for the location, GIMP did originate in
California, U.S.A.
