Hi,
In the last couple of days I have found that when I use levels and select,
for example, the grey dropper, the area chosen goes gray, but only as long
as I hold the mouse button down. I release the button and it goes back to
the colour it was before. Same with white and black droppers. I reinst
Hi,
I have been using the GEGL C2G a lot in Gimp 2.8. Now I have updated to
2.10 I find the parameters in Color to Grey very different and have been
unable to get the same effects - they seem more washed out and with less
contrast.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Jack

My query about the apparent lack of 'Create from Scanner' in 2.10 a week or
so back didn't get much feedback. Digitising old photos etc is a major use
for me, so until it is present again, I've gone back to 2.8. Sad.. I
really liked everything else about 2.10.
Any plans for scanning soon?
Jack
Hi
I like 2.10 - thanks - and have had no problems installing and running -
but how do I scan to Gimp now? This is one of my main uses - scanning my
box-loads of old photos and slides, then cleaning up, repairing
fading/yellowinge etc using Gimp. I can't see a Create from Scanner option
any longer

Hi,
Simple question - I hope!
Where can I download the latest 2.9 build for Windows? I have a project
where I need to use LCH colour mode and I believe I can do this in 2.9?
On the downloads Gimp page I get to the folder 'Nightly', but nothing shows
up.
Thanks
Jack

Hi,
I am mainly working with photomicrographs of metal surfaces (tool marks
etc) and have found that the C2G filter in GEGL (in conjunction with
others) can really help reveal surface textures. I need to explain my
procedure in very simple terms in a written article and thus say what the
