Re: [Gimp-user] UI drag and drop issues prevent layer reorder or dialog tab reorder
I confirm this behavior of GIMP. When I´m capturing a video (I use the program Snagit) I see that drag and drop doesn´t work. As far as a stop SangIt drag and drop works fine. But right now, I have no idea. Regards, Jehan Well, the issues returned today, and I was able to capture them on video: https://vimeo.com/81279958 In the video, you can see me trying to drag layers. As I do so, there is no black line indicating where they will end up when I release the mouse. And when I do release the mouse, nothing happens. Similarly, when I try to drag the Paths tab, it shows it being moved, but there is no indication of where it will land when I release the mouse. And releasing the mouse button just undocks it even though I'm over another tab. And I can't drag it back and dock it. Then I click on a few different tools. The first two clicks work, changing the tools. But subsequent clicks just outline the tool without switching to it. After capturing the video, just before submitting this reply, I noticed that everything was working again. I hadn't even closed GIMP. It was the same session that I used to capture the video of the issues. Dragging layers, reordering tabs, clicking tools, all are working again. I think the inconsistency is the most frustrating thing. I have no idea what's breaking or fixing it. I can't find any pattern to it at all. I mean, it seems environmental, but GIMP is the only program affected. And I use this computer for lots of different things (Lightroom, Movie Studio, Inkscape, Blender, Chrome, gaming, etc.). I appreciate your time, but unless I can identify a pattern or something, this seems like a lost cause. If I ever do determine what breaks or restores functionality, I'll be sure to report back. And if there's anything you'd like me to try, just let me know. ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

[Gimp-user] Fwd: Wacom Tablet not working with GIMP
What version of XQuartz are you running? -Original Message- From: uga...@talktalk.net To: for...@gimpusers.com Sent: Sat, 7 Dec 2013 21:55 Subject: Re: [Gimp-user] Wacom Tablet not working with GIMP Have configured Gimp input devices? -A -Original Message- From: Marathon7 for...@gimpusers.com To: gimp-user-list@gnome.org CC: t...@gimpusers.com Sent: Sat, 7 Dec 2013 20:24 Subject: [Gimp-user] Wacom Tablet not working with GIMP Is their a way to get the pressure sensitivity of my Wacom Bamboo Capture tablet working with GIMP. Is tablets pressure sensitivity still unavailable to GIMP 2.8.2 Mac OS X? I tried really hard to get my Wacom Intous4 table connected with GIMP 2.8.10 under MAC OSX 10.9. However it is not recognized by GIMP - (all other programs I used can detect the driver correctly). Also I updated the Wacom driver to the newest version - without any effect. What confuses me is that it some Forums it's mentioned that XQuartz is necessary to run GIMP and a tablet, in some comments it's confirmed that it's not needed anymore... Also it's interesting, that some users can use their Wacom Intous3 tablet with GIMP 2.8 which gives me hope that there is a trick... Any hint ? Anyone? Greetings from Finland ! I finally managed to contact the camstudio team and report this problem, but I have yet to hear back from them regarding this issue. 10.6.8 is Snow Leopard and your build may not be compatible with it. What error messages do you see in your system log? You can also download my Mac build which will work on Snow Leopard or later. It is a known bug of the Single-Window mode (it works in Multi-Window mode). See this bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=701066 Well there are some UI project to redo the image tabs, or in particular to transform them in a thumbnail parade. See this blog post from our main UI designer: http://blog.mmiworks.net/2009/09/gimp-single-mode.html That includes no [X] for closing, and also more freedom to decide the size of the thumbnails (big or small, for all tastes). But when will this appear actually in GIMP? Really not sure. No spec has been written yet, thus of course no development has actually been started either. That's all just a vague project right now.
