Hello to all,
First let me say that I love GIMP - wonderful program.
But I just replaced my Windows 10 PC with a new HP laptop that has a 4K screen
and unfortunately the toolbox icons are microscopic in size. I literally have to
hold a magnifying glass up to the display in order to see them.

Just downloaded GIMP 2.8.20 to a Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I can not open any
images. I get the message: "Unknown file type". I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the program several times. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm using a Huion H610 tablet. It works perfectly with the test software and
things like paint. With Gimp however it's not allowing me to do continuous
strokes. When I press on the tablet it will make an initial dot but not allow me
to make a continuous line. Any help would be appreciated

Bonjour
D'avance merci

This works for me:
1. Enter your text
2. Layer-> Text to Path
3. Edit-> Stroke path (You need to choose a different colour from the text
color. If you want a black outline, make the text red, or some other colour
and stroke it with black.)
4. Edit-> Select by Color. (Select the red "insides".)
Paula,
Using Gimp 2.8.20 that exact set of steps from Owen will give you what
you ask for (I just did it). I've expanded the steps explanations a bit
for you. Do this on a new empty file:
1. From the menu bar select File > New, OK
2. Use color palette and select the two colors you want to
Export as or Caps+Ctrl+E.
