Thank you. I deleted my version of the plugin and installed yours. Works great
now!
Good to know png is lossless. I assumed anytime something was compressed that
it would be at the expense of quality.

I tried saving as PNG (despite being concerned about file compression). It
still yielded the same results. If I take a small screen snipping of a swath of
the image, I am THEN able to use heal selection on THAT image. There's

Total GIMP newbie here, and pretty inexperienced in photo editing. Trying to get
the "heal selection" feature to work, in effort to remove unwanted objects from
a few images.
