I did not find any explanation on the web about "Blend Space",
"Composite Space" and "composite Mode" in layer options. I do not know
how to test test them. What are they useful for?
Any hint will be welcome.

One months ago, I asked for contributors in GIMP-help. I received
several answers, and some people got near to start. But finally, nothing
happens, candidates being discouraged by the complexity of git + gitlab
+ xml + gimp-help structure.

To emboss a text, I use the following:
- Create text
- Text layer size to image
- Displace
-Alpha to selection
-Drop shadow
-Delete layer text
-Emboss
This works well if I use the Drop Shadow (Legacy) plug-in, but fails if
I use the new GEGL Drop Shadow filter (with GIMP-2.10.8
Under Ubuntu, another possibility is using the Flatpak GIMP version,
which is automatically updated.
