Today I learned to cut out an object from an image, and I managed to paste
it into a new background by selecting "Copy visible" and "paste into".
However, for some reason I haven't been able to replicate this! When I try,

"layers" and this wasn't listed. I just noticed that when I go to the
picture I want to use as background and press Contol V to paste the first
image into it, the "Colour picker" icon appears along with a "No" symbol.
