[Gimp-user] Segmentation fault on close
Hello, I'm using Gimp 2.8 on ArchLinux. If I open GIMP and close it directly after opening, I *always* get a Segmentation fault. Complete shell output follows: [manuel@manuelspc ~]$ gimp [1] 831 [manuel@manuelspc ~]$ /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/web-page: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (gimp:831): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: gimp: gimp_wire_read(): error /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/help-browser: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (gimp:831): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: gimp: gimp_wire_read(): error [1]+ Segmentation fault (core dumped) gimp Is this a known bug? Any chance to get this fixed? Thank you very much in advance. Do you have libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0. Owen Manuel Reimer manuel.s...@nurfuerspam.de wrote: Hello, I'm using Gimp 2.8 on ArchLinux. Re: [Gimp-user] Segmentation fault on close
Thanks for the hint... I expected this to be an optional dependency but in ArchLinux the dependency to webkitgtk2 isn't listed at all. Now, after installing webkitgtk2, I have: [manuel@manuelspc ~]$ gimp [1] 990 [manuel@manuelspc ~]$ [1]+ Segmentation fault (core dumped) gimp Error message gone. Segfault remains... The interesting about this problem: If I start GIMP with the user, I use to log in on KDE, then I get the segfault when I close GIMP. There also seem to be other stability problems (yesterday I scanned a few pages with xsane and after Page 8 GIMP just disappeared (crashed)). If I su - or sudo -i to any other user and start GIMP in context of this user, then I don't have the SIGSEGV. I've already deleted ~/.gimp but this didn't change anything.
