more tablet support will be in the GTK3 port of GIMP, but that's future,
after the current GEGL port.

I may be saying something stupid in case you already knew, but the pressure
sensitivity in GIMP is disabled by default. So did you set your tablet to
mode "screen" first to enable it explicitly?
