I just made a test with your picture using MAGIX Pro X6. In the attachment you see a single frame of my test-video. As you can see, there is no problem with your image. So I can support what Steve Kinney wrote: your solution will be in the program which you are using to make the video. You can I see p your text and bubble on separate layers in your original XCF document. But make sure the background layer has alpha channel before you renve anything from it, and do export to PNG. Right-click on the layer's name in the layers dialog and see of "Add alpha" command is available. If it isn't, you are already good to go. Then, if you see what I suppose you see, and that is a bubble layer on top of a checkboard pattern, you need to xport this document as PNG to oreserve the alpha channel. Then use this PNG file in your production.
