Perhaps however, having been affected by this, you could file a bug report/feature request for a safer saving mechanism? Nice idea. We already have some Autosave or Versioning feature requests in Bugzilla. You find them at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122934, https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138373 and https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148931. Please read them first and - if you have new ideas on that topic - try to amend them rather than filing a new bug report. A code contribution would be appreciated as well ;-) Kind regards, Sven ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

It would be nice if Gimp (as e.g. Cinepaint does) saves the file to filename.tmp and moves that file to filename if finished correctly. That way, an error during the save process doesn't corrupt the original file. ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list
