[Gimp-user] Can a default cursor be changed?

I would like to use a 'Paths' cursor that offers more precision. I currently use GIMP 2.4.7 + Windows Vista on a PC. Can the default cursor for Paths be changed to something more precise? Crosshairs, fine pointer or something similar to what is found in Photoshop would be ideal. Thank you very much
