I just installed the GIMP on my windows box. My task is simple, merging two
jpg files together.
When I increase the canvas size and copy and paste the second jpg into the
first one, there is only a dashed outline of the second picture. I have no
idea what's wrong.

Grab windows as an image and the size of it?
Dear All
I am using windows and want to grab a window, I use the following method:
1. ALT + printscreen (copy);
2. use GIMP for a new file;
3. Crtl + v to paste.
Now in step 2 I have to specify the image size, but I have no idea how big the
image is

Hello:
This problem brothers me a long time.
I use powerpoint generate a presentation and add some
arrows (outlined) and text on it. But when I use
powerpoint save as png, or jpg and view it on
Microsoft Office Picture manage and zoom in/out, all
characters
and arrows displayed smoothly.

I have a 1000*1000 picture, for example. I need to tile it (copy and paste)
into a 2000*3000 bigger pictures.
What I did are:
Generate
a new file whose size is 2000*3000. Select All (ctrl + A), copy the original
picture and paste to the new file and position it the left
up
