Some image formats allow you to make comments when you save the image.
How do you read those comments when you open the image at a later time?

I get:
LibGimp-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read: unexpected EOF
when I try to fill (foreground) a white background layer, and the gimp crashes. I can not do a stack trace (?) because I installed with make install-strip (?).
I have:

gtk+-1.2.9 sources
