[Gimp-user] Creating a text layer -- Instructions?
Dear friends: May I ask for step-by-step instructions on how to create a text layer in Gimp with the word FIRE in 85 point size against a black background (1117 width, 790 height and 266 resolution with White as background)? For some reason, I can't get past this first step as my earlier message and screenshots show: http://www.websher.net/temp/gimp-text1.jpg http://www.websher.net/temp/gimp-text2.jpg http://www.websher.net/temp/gimp-text3.jpg Once I get past this stage, I hope to be able to make use of the Gimp's Help file and try to do the rest on my own. Thank you so much. Benjamin -- Benjamin Sher [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

It seems you did everything correctly, except that the font color is the same as the background color so you can't see the text. Just change the font color and it should be alright.
