I hope I'm in the right place. I have been using GIMP 2.6.3 for a while and love it. I have just run into a problem I cannot solve. I have acquired a set of Symbom Fonts from Combi.
The set contains the following: CNPRO___.ttf CNPROBD_.ttf COMSYM01.ttf COMSYM02.ttf COMSYM03.ttf COMSYMCD.ttf COMSYMDV.ttf These fonts contain CD symbols and special characters. I have installed them into Win XP Home Edition and they work great everywhere excepr GIMP. CNPRO___.ttf and CNPROBD_.ttf display in the font selection and work fine. The last five [COMSYM01.ttf, COMSYM02.ttf, COMSYM03.ttf, COMSYMCD.ttf, and COMSYMDV.ttf] show in the font selection as the one title CombiSymbols and all are the same font (COMSYM01.ttf). Since the fonts carry their unique names internally, renaming the files will not help. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
