Is anyone aware of the installation of the Gimp on a AlphaStation Tru64 Unix v5.1 ?
I downloaded the gimp-1.2.3. The execution of ./configure gives these warnings: configure: warning: *** AA plug-in will not be built (AA library not found) *** configure: warning: *** TIFF plug-in will not be built (TIFF header files not found) *** configure: warning: *** JPEG plug-in will not be built (JPEG header file not found) *** configure: warning: *** XJT plug-in will not be built (JPEG header file not found) *** configure: warning: *** PSP and PNG plug-ins will not be built (ZLIB header files not found) *** configure: warning: *** MPEG plug-in will not be built (MPEG header file not found) *** configure: warning: *** XPM plug-in will not be built (XPM header file not found) *** configure: warning: *** Help browser plug-in will not be built (PNG, JPEG or XPM libraries not found) *** Warning: prerequisite Gtk 0.5 not found at (eval 4) line 220. Note (probably harmless): No library found for -lgimp Note (probably harmless): No library found for -lgimpui I have checked that at least the JPEG, PNG, TIFF, MPEG and Gtk libraries are installed, since I previously installed the Open Source Software Collection v5.1A released by Compaq. This release contains the Gimp-1.0.4, but several things don't seem to work very well, so I wanted to try the latest version from the Gimp homepage.
