Ahh but you can not do a Crop and a resize at the same time!! In photoshop its been possible to crop, resize, and rotate all at the same time. (since version 4.0) Gimp is lacking here. It will do cropping, resizing, and rotation but the workflow is very time consuming. By moving the corners where two lines cross, you can change the placement without changing the size.
