The PSD extension is not listed in the "save as" extensions but (with the
Windows version, at least) Gimp 1.2.3 writes PSD files. Just add ".psd" to
the title in the "Save as" dialog box. I often save
my Gimp work in this format to pass to my nephew who runs Photoshop6.
