Re: [Gimp-user] display and xv

2001-03-15 Thread VosSedai

Sorry but I also find it curious as Ive never had any problem viewing Gimp
generated JPGs in XV, EE, or any other external viewer. No help I know but
an addendum to other answers.
cheers & good luck

Re: [Gimp-user] display and xv

2001-03-14 Thread Jeff Trefftzs

How very curious. What version of the Gimp are you using? What
are your jpeg parameters when you save the image? Are you
trying to save something other than an RGB image as a jpeg?

Xv tends to give you something to look at when it can't display
a file. If you view it in hex, (like a hexdump), does it look
like a jpeg?

Do you have the current versions of ImageMagick and xv?

Sorry--no answers, just questions.

[Gimp-user] display and xv

2001-03-14 Thread Rick Rosinski

Gimp-generated jpeg files are viewed with web browsers just fine, but
ImageMagick's display says "Cannot map file", but still displays the jpeg.
However, xv will not display them at all. Can anybody shed some light on
these?
