[Gimp-user] how can I close the main window on gimp 2.5.1?

Hi list. on gimp 2.5.x, the main window(?) is added. so we can see three default window when we start gimp. however, I can't understand why the main window exists. and I want to close it without exiting gimp.(generally when I close the main window, then gimp is closed.) how can I do? and why the
