Hi Dave, I'm using 2.2.13 Gimp on Linux. If there isn't something in the preference, take a gander at the gimprc file. There should be a system wide one, and a local user one. If I remember correctly the system one had options defined but commented out, so it served as the documentation. I picked stuff out of the system wide gimprc and put it into my local gimprc.
