Linus. Debian testing. gimp-1.2. File -Acquire -Screenshot
the problem was emailed to me in private. my problem is that when the
GIMP opens a new image, it closes the dialog that is working on the
other image.
the solution(s) were in the same mail. use another GIMP or use xwd.
it all makes sense to me now.
