This happens every version of gimp lately:

I'm trying to run "./configure" for installing Gimp. It keeps stopping with an error
that says: configure: error: cannot guess
host type: you must specify one". Where would you specify such a thing and what do
you fix so this won't happen again?

Did you run "make distclean" and re-run configure? If yes, could you sent me
the output of a configure run,
