Just installed gimp 1.1.22 and sane. When I select file->print none of
my printers show up in the drop down printers box. If I select setup,
there's a list of printers as well as postscript 1 or 2 options. Still
no way to associate any of these printers with my existing printers.
What gives?

You can also set your window manger to raise/focus any of the windows
whenever the mouse moves over any one of them. It works really well with
gimp, specially if you have many dialog windows open, or like tearing off
menus and littering the screen with them.

into an existing gimp session, a la gnuserv or "netscape --remote $url

no sign of any such functionality in my searches of the FAQ, manual and
mail archives. surely gimp can't be so memory efficient
