resizing

Hi I'm a 'newbie' and I'm learning by trial and error.  I can't seem to
figure out how to make a hand-drawn image smaller.  I need something
akin to "scale to image" which is found in Gfig.  Resize just seems to
resize the entire file, not the selected image.
