Lighting Effects?

2001-02-15 Thread Carl Constantine

How do I do lighting effects like that described on this web page:

http://www.handson.nu/HTML/bulkhead.shtml.

I can do all of this hands on tutorial up to the lighting effects option.
Gimp's lighting effects seem to be limited in comparison. I don't have
enough control of the light in the lighting effects dialog to do this.

Ideas on a solution? I'm using Gimp 1.1.32 (will update to 1.2.1 soon).

how can i "lighten up" the dark parts, leave the good parts alone
and not have it show so much?

Have a look at Image-Colors-FilterPack, then select "Value" and
select "Shadows" in the "Affected Range" frame. You can then highlight
the darker parts of the image, but the results depends heavily on the
quality of the image and the contrast in the dark areas.

Lighting plugin

2000-02-18 Thread Joachim Ansorg

Hi!

I really like the Lightning plugin of GIMP 1.1.17!

But it's very hard to use because te unzoom and zoom buttons don't work!
I already looked into the sourced but I can't find the bug (I'm not familair
with QT).

I already posted to the Authors of the plugin and sent a bugreport months ago,
but nothing happened.
Perhaps some here is a GTK coder and want to make t
working?

This would be _very_ good!

Thanks in advance,

Lighting effects

1999-11-24 Thread Joachim Ansorg

Hi!

The lightimh effects plugin doesn't have a working zoom/unzoom function.
Although it takes some time after clicking on the +/- Button but it displays
everytime the same.

Is this my fault or isn't it implmented?
