what do you mean? you could use image->select-by color
to choose "red and then use the bucket fill with mode
set to color or hue. or just paint those parts by hand
(again with a brush setting)
sometimes its easier to do this after desatureating
parts of the image
with gimp 1.1.x (1.2) theres image->colors->colormap
rotation which may also be what your looking for.
