You can pull out red/blue dashed lines from both the
horizontal and vertical ruler of your image.  The
(rectangular) selection tool will then snap to these.
This should make it easy for you to slice your image.
The snap-lines are even saved with the XCF-format.

Hi,
There is a good plug-in to do this : perlotine (Filtres/Web/Perlotine)
I've tranform it to can save in jpeg and png format (the original script
just save in gif)
I've send it to Seth Burgess, but he didn't put it on the CVS server.
If anybody would this script (the new one with jpeg and png format) you
can write me
