perlotine is one way to do it, if you want to do more of it yourself,
(which is likely) ->Image->Transforms->Guilotine, which just 
cuts the image up. doesnt do the other stuff.

1.Guide>guide grid>(set spacing..larger values smaller slices)
2.Filter>Web>perl-o-tine ( set values /directories )
